CodeLean Established in Denmark

Tuesday, April 01, 2008

Seeing opportunity in providing professional software services to European clients, two Danish consultants have established CodeLean, a Danish software company that specializes in .NET development, the design and implementation of web solutions, and technical writing.

CodeLean was founded in February 2008 by experienced IT consultants Peter Andersen, a software architect with 15 years experience in project management and software architecture; and Peter Kayser, with a long background in finance and IT from companies such as Intellix A/S, Oxford Research A/S and Columbus IT.

To provide the most cost-effective solutions for its clients, the company will utilize a combination of offshore production and onshore consultation called dual shoring. “The dual shore model allows the best of both worlds for our clients: you get significant cost reduction by utilizing skilled IT personnel from the Philippines while benefiting from the expertise of our Danish project managers, who will be in Denmark for ease of communication,” says Peter Kayser.

CodeLean makes use of a transparent and lean project model based on SCRUM. Clients’ involvement in all stages of the software development is crucial, says Peter Andersen, a certified Scrum Master. “We acknowledge the fact that you are not able to know everything about your project at the start, and our project model embraces change at any time during development.”

CodeLean will focus on the following areas of expertise:

  • Project planning and management
  • Requirements analysis and specification
  • Execution of development projects
  • Structured testing and handover of solutions
  • Technical writing
